Studio Policies

Millworks Creative

Bookings

  • All online bookings are for photography only. Bookings are done at www.millworkcreative.com using our online scheduling system. Our online calendars are always up to date and show the latest availability and pricing.

  • If you are planning on hosting an event or filming video content with sound, please email us directly at danielle@millworkscreative.com to get pricing and make your bookings.


Parking

  • Please park in the lot on the corner of Hatt Street & MacMurray or directly behind the medical building in the empty gravel lot. The entrance is at the front of the building beside the number 64. Directly across from The Shed Brewery. You can also enter from the side of the building on the ground level. You will see a wood wall and black door at the back left hand side of the building. Walk in the door and up the stairs into the space.


Pets

  • Pets are welcome at our Millworks locations, we ask that you email danielle@millworkscreative.com to let us know.

  • There will be a $25 pet fee associated with this request. You may be asked for a $250 preauthorized hold on your credit card that will be collected upon arrival and then released within 2-5 business days, minus the pet fee, and any damages incurred.

  • Our studio is a family-friendly environment so please ensure your pets are not on our furniture and in the common areas.

  • All pets must be on leash at all times when not in their rented studio.

  • Should your pet make a mess on our studio floor there will be a $50 charge and if your pet makes a mess on the furniture, there will be a $250 charge which will be deducted from your $250 security deposit.


Check In & Check Out

  • During check-in, you may be asked to provide your ID and credit card information to pre-authorize a security deposit.

  • Our staff will visit the studio room 10 minutes prior to the end of your booking to ensure that the room is left in its original condition. Furniture and props must be moved back to their original place.


Studio Rules

The studios are not soundproofed.

  • Your booking is only for the room that you rented for the duration of the rental. If you require additional time to setup / takedown, please factor it into your booking. If you need extra time and the room is available, you can rent additional time in 30 minute increments.

  • Moving and using furniture from another studio you are NOT renting is not permissible. Fees will apply if this rule is broken.

  • Please do not use any of the studios you are not renting. If you would like a tour of the other spaces, kindly ask our staff and they will be happy to assist you.

  • If a member of your party comes to the studio intoxicated, we reserve the right to ask them to leave the premises. If you bring alcohol into the studio we reserve the right to ask you to leave the premise and your booking will not be refunded or credited. We reserve the right to add additional fees based on the situation.

  • Smoking (including recreational drugs) is not permitted on studio premises. If a member of your party is caught we reserve the right to ask them to leave the premises and your booking may be cancelled and will not be refunded or credited. We reserve the right to add additional fees based on the situation.

  • Please note that failure to respect the studio rules, studio staff, or other bookers, will result in immediate termination of your booking and can result in a permanent ban.

  • Please bring all of your belongings into the studio rooms that you are renting and take them home with you after your photoshoot/event. We are not responsible for loss or damages to items left in the common areas.

  • We do not store items for your rental booking ahead of the photoshoot or left behind after the shoot. If you need to arrange delivery/storage of items ahead of your event, please email us at danielle@millworkscreative.com and we will advise you what we can do.


Damages & Cleaning

Garbage brought into the studio must be cleaned and put into garbage inside the studio. If there is garbage left behind, cleaning fees will apply.

  • If you need to move furniture, please lift the items, do not drag them. This damages both the floors and furniture legs. If you need assistance, please ask.

  • Broken furniture leg damage fee is $200, floor damage and deep scratches can range from $100-500 depending on the extent of the damage, furniture damage is subject to $100-500 damage fee.


Studio Capacity

Please email us at danielle@millworkscreative.com ahead of time if the number of people arriving is larger then 10. If you bring extra people to the studio without notice, they will be asked to wait outside of our premises until the staff onsite approves.


Make-up Table

Available 8am-8pm. 1 hour complementary per client, per booking. $25 hour for additional time.


Wifi

Our studio has free wi-fi for all studio guests. Please ask staff when you arrive for the username/password.


Pets

Our studio is a family-friendly environment so please ensure your pets are not on our furniture or in the common areas.

  • Should your pet make a mess on our studio floor there will be a $50 charge and if your pet makes a mess on the furniture, there will be a $300 charge which will be deducted from your $300 security deposit.

  • Please be sure to contact the studio beforehand.


Elevator

The freight elevator is for equipment only and is shared with the building which means it must be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please give us a call directly if you require any on-site assistance.

  • The size of the elevator is 6 x 16.5 feet


Kindly request the required items once you arrive and please note that each item is to be returned in its original condition or the client will be invoiced for any damages or if items are not returned.
